With the constant emergence of information about the tragic impacts of the fashion industry, it is high time for us to team up to bring change in the industry and our lives as well. This comes at the cost of resisting yourself to get that new sleek Zara denim top which you most probably would throw on one side of the wardrobe because it went out of “trend” after the summer.
I know that you want to save the earth and at the same also feel guilty every time you are enticed to shop.
When you enthusiastically do look up ways to up-cycle clothes you lose your zeal after reading that you have to compromise and cut few pieces of clothing.
Well, that is when I, a self-proclaimed stylist enter the field.

With help and guidance from my sister I compiled 3 fashionable ways you can up-cycle 7 clothes that as far as I’ve heard are present in every girl’s closet.
Materials needed: Pin, tape and your confidence
1) The three-in-one Tee:
Usually baggy over-sized tees are worn by girls only when you decompress and relax inside your house because it is not considered “stylish” enough.

Well, I beg to differ.

> Pair it up with a sling bag on the hip.
> Tuck it in with a long t shirt under the tee.
> Tie it up in the corner (whichever side you prefer).
2) That classy black dress:

Black is a color that fits every occasion and using one dress for multiple events is a plus “three.”

> Add a pink long sleeve t shirt or any color that brings out your glow.
> Remove the pink sleeve and you have another party outfit.
> Tuck it in and pair up with a classic jeans pant to give that 8Os look.
3) Cool cardigan looks:

This is a tricky one so squint your eyes and read the instructions properly.

> Wear the cardigan without the sleeves and cross both the sides in through the back and pin it in the front near the chest.
> Follow the same steps but stuff the sleeves in and pair it up with a blazer for a semi-formal occasion.
> Once again follow the same steps of no. 2 with one side of the sleeve out and pin it in the back with a cross.
4) Sweater:

Sweaters were originally made to keep us warm so why not heat up the temperature a bit.

> A tight slim belt will do the job.
> Twist one side of the sleeve and turn it into a belt and with a pair of long boots you are ready to hit the club.
> Now, go one step downwards by folding it into a skirt.
5) Handkerchief:

Do more than just blow your nose and blow people away.

> Take the hanky over your head and tie at the end leaving you hair in the middle.
> Do the same thing but in the opposite direction.
> Tie on your neck like a choker.
6) Scarf:

Scarfs are just long hankies with more scope.

> Tie the scarf in the back and create within a second create a crop top.
> Fold on one end like a saree and tightly tuck it in to create a tiny lehenga.
> Fold the scarf diagonally in the middle, tie the small side in the neck and the long one behind your neck.
7) Heels:

Lastly, a lady’s closet is not complete without high heels.

> Get a shoelace with the same color and fit it in.
> Socks with the same color will create an illusion of a boot.
> Wear it like you are supposed to with some sass!
There you go. One cloth, three options. Select wisely according to the mood and occasion. Now, put your chin up, smize and sport that outfit guilt-free and confidently.
